All of our cottages come with Wifi, games consoles, DVD’s, books and a selection of board games to keep you entertained for when the heavens open, but you didn’t come on holiday to stay indoors, so we have come up with a few wet weather ideas where you’ll find inspiration for family days out – sorry, days in – and keeping the children entertained during the odd downpour.
Stay dry in some of the oldest fortresses in the world. Explore classic fairytale castles like Bodiam, Dover and Hever. Discover the many art galleries or what better way to perk yourself up on a rainy day than indulging in a bit of retail relaxation?
If its raining cats and dogs and you don’t fancy a wet walk on Camber Sands then find out what is lurking beneath the waves with a trip to Hastings historic old town and visit the Blue Reef Aquarium where you will find over 40 naturally-themed displays, including giant tropical ocean displays where you will come face to face with everything from seahorses to sharks! The centrepiece of the aquarium is the giant underwater tunnel giving you and your little soldiers a close encounter with hundreds of tropical fish.

Bexhill Leisure Centre – offers a great swimming experience for the whole family. The pool has a flume and wave machine making it the ideal place for having fun in the water – they also offer soft play, parties and kids activities.
The occasional rain shower is part of England’s charm. It’s also the reason we have such a great array of things to do indoors. When a dark cloud appears, some of these attractions might be just the thing to keep the kids entertained.
