Make for a medieval remake
Created on the order of Henry II and still poignantly pivotal some 700 years later, Dover Castle is ringing with historic tales, curious quests for visitors and knowledgeable guides aplenty. Visit on the weekend and you’ll be greeted by volunteers in medieval dress and once you’ve exhausted the Great Tower and wartime bunkers, the acreage awaits to exhaust the rest of you!
