Rufty Tufty - Pet Friendly Holiday Home
Ideally situated between Camber Sands beach and lovely SSSI marshland, this classic weatherboarded holiday cottage welcomes couples and small families to a serene coastal hideaway. Children (and adults) who delight in nature will be quite delighted here: Romney Marsh sheep dot the marsh view at Rufty Tufty Cottage, and you will likely see ducks, swans and other waterfowl, too—not to mention the beauty of the beach at your doorstep.
Tucked into the premier Whitesand development, Rufty Tufty is a short stroll—just a few minutes—from Camber Sands beach and other amenities, like a local pub, a fine dining restaurant (The Gallivant) and a convenience store for stocking the cabinets at this self catering cottage.
In 5 miles, you will reach Rye, with its cobbled streets, antique shops and fine restaurants.

Dining & Lounging
Inside, the cottage is decorated and furnished in a cosy, country-style, with soft throw blankets, a collection of books, contemporary electric stove, a modern kitchen, and tasteful nautical accents throughout. Downstairs, the relaxed, open plan kitchen, living and dining room offers an ideal hangout space for movie nights—there is a smart HDTV with Freeview, Netflix—and leisurely breakfasts before the beach.
Other in house entertainment includes Bose wireless speakers and free Wi-Fi throughout.
As for the kitchen, you will find everything you could need here, including oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge freezer and coffee machine. A separate utility area contains a washing machine for keeping beach towels and clothes fresh.

Bed & Bath
Well-appointed, Rufty Tufty has two-bedrooms to sleep up to 4 guests—one with a double bed and one with two twin beds. A travel cot is available for a little one, but please bring your own bedding for the cot if you plan to use it. Additional baby-friendly amenities include a highchair, travel cot and stair gate.
The bathroom located upstairs has bath and shower along with a heated towel rail. On the ground floor you will find a separate w.c and basin. Other than the travel cot bedding, all linen, including towels, are provided for your stay.
Outdoors
Rufty Tufty is the centre cottage within its building at the White Sand development (look for the blue door in the photos above—that is Rufty Tufty). At the back of the property, you will find a fully enclosed sunny garden area with Weber charcoal BBQ. Let the dog out to sniff and roam while dinner sizzles on the grill.
A private, off road, covered parking space is also provided.

Camber’s huge sandy beach on your doorstep, lots of great places to go for walks and even dog friendly pubs so that you can both enjoy a relaxing drink after a day of sniffing about on the dunes!

Good food makes for great holidays, and rest assured of eating well during your stay. Whether you prefer cosy inns with roaring fires or fine dining restaurants beside the sea; the simple pleasures of crispy fish & chips or gourmet delicacies crafted from farm-fresh produce; you will be spoilt for choice here.
Beside the sea and surrounded by farmland, it’s little surprise that many ingredients come from only a few miles away. A few local favourites of ours include the famous Romney Marsh Lamb, Rye bay Scallops and Dover sole, as well as traditional English pub dishes such as Rye Bay fish… not to mention our award-winning sparkling wines.
Fancy yourself a chef? Then the fully stocked kitchen at Rufty Tufty will be your culinary playground. Simply add fresh ingredients from colourful farmers markets and delis and have fun.
