The house was perfectly clean, very good communication with them, prior during and after. The house is cosy, quiet and has all needed for a good stay. Really like the welcome pack with local cake biscuits and bottle of wine. Good location a short drive to Camber beach and close to beautiful Rye. The house itself was well equipped with all the kitchen essentials and dog bowls. The attention to detail with the furnishings and bedding was fantastic and very comfortable. Everything worked including the wifi, grind coffee machine, air fryer and the high tech additions of Alexa in every room. This was our first time staying at Owlers Cottage and third time staying at one of Sophie's properties this year! Owlers is a super cosy cottage with everything you could need for your stay. It's modern, cosy and absolutely immaculate. The fireplace is just gorgeous! There's also Sky TV both in the Living Room and Bedroom which is fab! The neighbourhood is quiet and private. Just a few minutes walk to the stunning beach and a 10 min drive to Rye. It's also great if you like running as lots of lovely routes nearby. The hosts (Sophie, Richard, Arthur & Dougal the dog) are a dream! Absolutely wonderful in every way (Thank you for the yummy treats, milk and fizz, much appreciated!) The place was lovely, very welcoming, and they had thought of everything. The beds were very comfortable, a large selection of kitchen equipment, and a good, safe garden for the dogs. The weather was spring-like, so a fresh walk along the beach was good for the soul. It's so good to get out of London for a day. The log burner in the shack was a novelty, and we loved it. The bed was so comfortable. The place was spotless, and everything we needed was there. Wish we had been able to stay two nights. Camber & Rye
Just 3 miles from Rye in East Sussex, one of the historic Cinque Ports coastal towns, you will find the small village of Camber. Camber Sands beach is the undisputed jewel in Camber’s crown. It stretches for miles along the coast and is so beautiful, it’s even been a location for a number of film shoots.
Rye is one of the prettiest towns in England, complete with cobbled streets, fabulous gastro pubs and a fantastic farmers’ market selling local produce and freshly caught fish and seafood. Take your time to explore the historic sites, magnificent castled, stories and legends of this fascinating part of England from your handpicked Camber Sands accommodation.
